History of the Open at St Andrews

The last time that the open was hosted at St Andrews was 2015. Despite the difficult weather conditions, the tournament was hard-fought. It culminated in a four-hole play-off between the eventual champion Zach Johnson as well as Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen.

Getting Tickets

The Open will be held on the 11th - 18th July. Keep your eye on the open website for tickets going on sale. If you want to get in early, you can join The One Club. It’s free to join and will give you access to priority tickets and unique promotions.

There are plenty of companies out there who will be offering full package deals for the Open. No matter what you are looking for, you will be able to find an option to suit you.

If you are planning to book everything your self then you may want to get an early start on finding accommodation as some places are already booked up. Leave it too late and you might be struggling to find a bed anywhere close. If you decide to buy a package deal, make sure you use an authorised provider. That way you know your tickets will be good on the day.
