Craigtoun Country Park

Craigtoun Country Park is a great day out for all the family with 40 acres of well-maintained grounds to explore. There are a number of free facilities to enjoy all year round, as well as additional seasonal attractions.

St Andrews

The Friends of Craigtoun took over the running of this popular local attraction in 2012 and have worked with Fife Council to keep the park open and running. This collaboration has led to a string of improvements that have seen Craigtoun Country Park become a more accessible and welcoming venue.

Attractions

There are some parts of the park that are open and accessible all year round and free to use. These include an adventure playground, all-inclusive play area, zip wire, trim trail, trampolines and the magical Fairy Glen.

From Easter to October you can pay buy tickets to ride on the Rio Grande Miniature Railway or the Puffin’ Billy Land Train. You can also practise your putting and take on the crazy golf course or venture out on to the boating lake in a pedalo or rowing boat. For the little ones, there are bouncy castles and pedal cars too.

Planning Your Visit

The park grounds are open all day, every day. This includes access to the gardens and the free facilities.

Admission and parking are free, but if you visit when the attractions are running, then you have to pay if you wish to use them. There is a range of ticket options, but single rides start at £1.80. Children under the age of 3 can ride for free.

There is a take-away cafe on site, which is open daily during the main season and Wednesday - Sunday outwith. The café serves drinks, sandwiches, snacks and ice cream and also a small selection of hot food items. There are plenty of places to stop and enjoy a picnic though so it might be a good idea to plan to bring food if you are making a day of your visit.

Dogs are welcome in the park. You are required to clean up after them and keep them under control, especially near the play areas, as you would expect.
