Just a 1 minute walk to the 1st tee of The Old Course, and only a 2 minute walk to the historic Town centre and all the major attractions. We pride ourselves on our service, friendly welcome and award-winning food, which makes the Russell Hotel the ideal nineteenth hole. The Restaurant & Lounge Bar offer a selection of dishes with ingredients which have been carefully selected and locally sourced by our Head Chef Michael Smith and his team. Many of our bedrooms have outstanding views across St Andrews Bay and over to The Links and are all individually decorated with stylish fabrics. The Russell Hotel, a Victorian terraced townhouse, is situated on The Scores overlooking St Andrews Bay and is just 2 minutes walk to the first tee of the world famous 'Old Course'.
It is conveniently placed for the town centre, award winning beaches & historic sights such as The Castle, Ancient Cathedral and the centuries-old University of St Andrews.

With it's enviable position, 'The Russell' offers guests the opportunity to stay in the very heart of St Andrews and experience the special atmosphere that is unique to 'The Home of Golf'.

The hotel offers guests comfortable accommodation, an award winning a la carte Restaurant (AA Rosette & Taste of Scotland ) and a Lounge Bar with open fire and a fine selection of wines, malts and ales.

Families Welcome
Children under 12 years of age are accommodated free of charge when sharing a room with 2 adults. Any meals incl. breakfast, will be charged as taken. We offer child listening facilities.

Discounted Rates
Certain rates as shown above may be subject to a discount, dependant on number in party or length of stay.

Deposit
When you contact us to make a reservation, you will be asked to forward a deposit of £50.00 per person. This deposit can be payable either by forwarding a cheque or by credit card from which the deposit will be charged. Should cancellation occur the deposit may be non-refundable.

Transport/Taxi Service To/From Airport
We can arrange a personal taxi service from Edinburgh ( 1 hour drive) or Glasgow Airport (1hr.45 drive) at a most competitive rate. Taxis are available to meet your train at Leuchars Station.
