Description

The BEST WESTERN Scores Hotel is the closest hotel to the 1st tee of the world famous Old Course and the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse.

A 5 minute walk will take you to many of the towns attractions including the ancient castle and cathedral ruins, the 600 year old university and the historic town centre.

The hotel comprises George Rae's impressive 1864 Seaton House, a town house of fantastic proportions and St Salvators Boys' School built in 1880 with stunning views over St Andrews West Sands beach.

These buildings were joined together in the 1930's to create the Scores Hotel but this joining created a gap at the front. The connecting of these two historic buildings created 3 of our new Junior Suites which all overlook the panoramic West Sands Beach (made famous in the 'Chariots of Fire' film for the running scene on the beach). The outer construction is in dressed ashlar stone to match the two existing buildings. 2 of the suites have bay windows and the third has a balcony with wrought iron railings. These rooms are known as the West Sands Suites.

The other 3 Junior Suites involved the conversation of the lower ground floor of Seaton House into family accommodation, each suite can sleep up to 4 people and 2 of the suites have a useful kitchen facility as well. These rooms are known as Seaton House Suites.

The hotel now has 36 rooms, 14 of which are Junior suites/suite. Many of the rooms have stunning views over the West Sands beach whilst others enjoy an outlook over the newly landscaped garden and terraces.

Champions Grill has unforgettable views of the West Sands and the 1st tee of the Old Course from its 9 large picture windows - there is no better way to start your day!

Alexanders Restaurant offer quality Scottish food in a traditional Victorian setting with white linen, gold chandeliers and a magnificent view.

Chariots Bar, names after the film 'Chariots of Fire' (which was partially shot on the West Sands) is a typical Scottish Snug serving Bar and Snack Menus daily, with al fresco dining weather permitting!
